Wow. A Mama Bear Surprise

Until today, I had never tried Mama Bear's shaving soaps. That absence never bothered me. Recently I received two tubs of MB in a trade and finally, a few hours ago, I decided to try it.

So I hopped into the shower and washed my face.

• applied castle forbes pre-shave
• used a hot towel for 40-seconds
• dumped the small amount of water on top of the MB
• Shook and squeezed my brush, a vintace custom with a TGN knot, and
• swirled it in the tub of soap for 10 seconds when lather began to build
• at the 30-second mark the lather was growing up my arm so I began pass 1 of 3

Wow. I had a terrific shave.

And I don't even like Earl Grey Tea (that was the scent of the soap today),

Agree. Mama Bear's soaps are excellent. And so is the service.

Me too! I just tried my first MB soap this morning, and I was suprised at how quick it loaded onto my brush and exploded into a yogurt like consistency during face lathering. The lather was very cushioning and moist. The only drawback was that I was not too fond of the scent--Sandalwood and Rose--too much sweet rose and hardly any sandalwood.

Mama Bear rocks. So what made you try the tea if you dont like tea? There are so many flavors there its not like your options were limmited.

My two favorites are Masculine Musk and Turkish Mocha.

Mama bears is great, and yes very addictive. Wasnt to crazy about the strongness of the scent when I first used, but it really grew on me fast! (My first scent was Dragons Blood)


How does one go about using a hot towel? Always wondered this.
