Where can I find info on # of Shaves / Puck (or by weight unit)

To extend my Super Cost Effective DE Starter Gift Kit research, currently under the poll Best <$5 Soaps, I've come to the point where I'd like to compare cost/shave of products. How many shaves can you get per gram of Cella, Tabac, Arko, or any other soap? I've googled around a bit, but suspect the quicker route to the answer might be here.

Thanks!

There is some data on sticks on the wiki: Shave stick, but this is a rich source of YMMV. Variables include brush size, water quality, beard type, skin type, and personal taste.

I tend to think the biggest spendthrifts are over in the 3017 thread, using multiple grams per shave. I almost always use shave sticks, which I find very frugal. With a triple-milled stick I usually load 1/2 to 2/3 grams shave. With less concentrated soaps I find I need 1-g to 1.5-g: MNS, Pears, and a few others.

As stated above -- too many variables for any sort of meaningful numbers. Some people don't load as much. Others load more. There's really no quick route. You'd really have to compile your own metrics.

You have already narrowed it down to several excellent performing, bargain priced soaps; at this point it would be splitting hairs and there is no way to verify any info you will get here. The end user will determine how much soap they use. Whether they enjoy the product is going to be much more important to your project anyways.

The info in the 3017 thread suggests that personal habit has much bigger influence on grams per shave soap usage than the brand. Anything from less than one gram per shave to over 4 grams seems to be possible.
