well today was one of my go to sticks the Palmolive green stick is still in my eyes pound for pound one of the best and as I just paid £1.50 or as you say a buck 85 for 5 sticks im not complaining .

I used a Palmolive stick today as well and will agree it's very good. Not even considering price, it's a good soap.

Great shave this GEMonday, when you have great gear and reasonable hand technique to knock off a great shave it is not hard and in fact a joy to shave.
Razor: GEM Junior bar 1909
Blade: GEM Personna SS PTFE (3)
Soap: Taylor of old Bond St Sandal wood
Brush: Razorock Plissoft
Pre shave : Wet the face + Aloe vera gel
Post shave: Alum + cold water rinse
Post shave: Nivea refreshing splash + Nivea balm
Results: CCS,DFS,BbS
