I can't recall the exact amount, but it was around $350 for a Koraat 8/8 custom straight razor with horn scales.
I sold it to fund another hobby of mine.

how do the gillette tech compare to the other gillette vintage razors?$20
For the one in my avatar. All the othe Techs have cost $15-20 that I have purchased for family and friends.
Nice like the handleNot including matching seven-day sets, USD 230 including shipping for a Ralf Aust 6/8 American point with etched spine and dressed in blond horn scales.
Yes, the accepted name for the "handle" of a folding SR is "scales".Nice like the handle
Btw when you say scales I assume that's the handle right?
wow each? thats a lot of moneyWell, I have 2 straights that I paid $1200 each for. And very happy to have done so. Not sure I would do it now or in the future but at the time, I could afford to do it.
1. Iwasaki western tamahagane in excellent NOS condition. Best shaving razor I own.
2. A custom Robert Williams that I commissioned for my sons college graduation. He was a swimmer at Purdue so Robert created a damascus steel with a wavy water pattern in the blade and Berni scrimshawed the Purdue logo on one side of the scales and a pic of my son swimming backstroke on the other scale. I gave this to my son for his graduation. It's spectacular!

Well, value is subjective. The Williams has no real value other than to my family. The value to me is in what it represents. It's my sons and i don't have it. I doubt he would ever sell it.wow each? thats a lot of money
has the value for them gone up or down since you got them?
