Tonight was grilled pork chops. They were marinated in soy sauce seasoned with Penzey's Chinese Five Spice and a healthy heap of garlic/ginger paste. During the grilling process I basted them with some soy sauce, garlic/ginger paste, and honey thinned out with a little water. Here they are right off the grille -

Had a nice coffee stout beer from Thimble Island Brewing Co, right here in Branford, CT, to wash it all down. It doesn't get much better than this.

St louis ribs on the pellett smoker, wife wanted rice a roni,
Her ribs were done with chinese red sauce.on the bbq.

A small boneless lamb joint, quietly roasting away with some carrots. I've got a few new season's Maris Piper from M&S - the farm is in Suffolk - will be simply boiled and served buttered. I'm making a sauce with Cab Sav and chicken stock. I may zap a few frozen peas in the micky for some greenery.
