What stand do you use for your big knot brushes?

Hey guys,

Just waiting to receive my new M&F brush that I custom ordered from Lee.
It has a 28mm knot with the stubby handle and I'm wondering what I'm going to use to hang it.
It won't fit in the stands that I currently have...

What stands do you guys use for your big knot brushes??

Give me some suggestions!!

I had to make my own when I got 28mm brush. I'll take a pic and post it on this thread when I find time. All I used was Velcro and duct tape. It works great and would work well for travel too.

I use two nails driven into the side of my shave cabinet.

you can get a stand to fit it from shavemac. They are pricey though.

I don't use a stand. I think they look nicer standing on there own.

Exactly. I was using stands but it looks more cluttered.

If you don't use a stand how do you dry the brushes properly?

I always let mine hang dry.

I have just bought one off "Bernd" sHavemac, they may well be a bit pricey. But the quality is top notch.......

Skip the stand. It's not necessary. Your brush will dry perfectly fine standing on its base.

I always heard that it damages the handle if you let the brush dry with it standing bristles up. You haven't had problems with that?

Give it a good shake and it'll dry just fine in any orientation.
Airflow is what is drying the brush, it's not dripping dry.

I need stands mounted due to the lack of counter space.
If you have counter space for stands, you'll use less space without them, unless your stand doubles as a razor stand.

Modern acrylic/resin handles will not be damaged by the water.
Wooden and bone/horn/ivory can be... I'd be inclined to maybe have a quick go at such a brush with a hair dryer on low heat.
