So you use it like this? Is that a 3d printed mini handle grip on that? Nice!
No. It's just the base of the knot, no handle. It is small, but big enough to handle the "brush" comfortably. I have used it at home several times without any problem.

I may add a small 3D handle for added stability when I lay it down on the sink between passes, but I find it OK as it is now.

It came out ok. Snug fit, no need of any glue. Removable.

These are only for car travel. Plane travel going forward will be a disposable razor and canned foam bought at destination. Last flight we checked a bag and waited over an hour for the luggage carousel...never again!!

I would love to see this brush done in their S-Brush synthetic bristles. It’s such a neat design but the boar needs time to dry so no good for overnighters.

The Lather Maestro
Mine was in action these last two days on a trip to Chicago to visit family. I wish I knew what the knot was, but I don't have the correspondence with Reyes Restores any longer. Two great 9.0/10 DFS with this minimalist travel set. BIC Metal, La Toja stick (old formula, of course) Thayer's WH and Floid in the little bottles.

Currently the Muhle STF gets most of my travel use. The Wee Scot is in the small pill bottle and punches well above its weight but is still a small brush. The Major was my main travel brush until it developed a shedding problem after less than 30 uses. Because Simpson would not make it right, I purchased the Muhle as my primary brush. Then Simpson Classic 2, Chubby 1, and Duke 3 are just for comparative purposes. The Simpson case contained a Classic 1 synth that I found absolutely useless and have moved it out of my den.

Classic 1 synth that I found absolutely useles
I had a Classic 1 synth and it was hopeless, like trying to lather with my elbow. I would have had a better result holding the knot and lathering with the handle. I sold it on the bay and was embarrassed to do so - a pathetic, shameful, travesty of a brush. That said, there must be huge variances in the knots in the Classic synth because some people love them.
