What's new

Very impressed with Vintage Blades!

I just received my first order from Vintage Blades last night and I must say I was bowled over by their service response. In addition to my order of Castle-Forbes shaving cream, I had requested a sample of a lime/citrus-based cologne and provided a list for them to choose from, adding in my note that I simply wanted something light/non-musky and hoped they would be able to pinpoint a scent.

I didn't expect VB to ship me a sample of EACH scent and several more! Plus samples of their new shaving creams to boot! Jim and Erin will be getting my repeat business, that's a certainty.

I've bought from Vintage Blades several times and they have amazing service. Jim even helped answer a few questions I had too.

A little story. I had an issue with an order and just dropped Jim an email Saturday morning at around 8 am pacific time and had included my phone number. I live in California and I was wondering how my order was shipped because it seemed a little long to me. FIVE,count them, FIVE minutes later I get a call from the east coast, it was Jim himself. AMAZING! on a Saturday morning? The man needs to relax a little.

Take Care,
Richard

What can I say? The man loves his business! I'd do the same if I were in his shoes.

+1 Vintage Blades! Placed my first order last week. Arrived in 3 days, two days before schedule. Received a free sample of their shaving cream and a free septic stick. Top notch service. They earned a loyal customer :)

Was thinking of starting up a new post, but figured I'd just add my comments here...

I recently placed an order w/ Jim on a Rooney brush. Before doing so, however, I called him to get his opinion on the difference in brushes hoping to get a recommedation. Initially, I was planning on getting an Ali Baba but Jim actually did something very few sales people do...instead of upselling me like most people, he told me to start out with the 3/1 or 3/2 and that I would be impressed enough with that.

Not only was he right, but I appreciated his honesty and his vast knowledge of the different brushes, quoting dimension numbers off the top of his head (I guess he does this for a living?

And guess what? I'll be going back to him when I'm ready for that Ali Baba. Thanks Jim!
