What's new

Two T's - what to try first

got a lovely package from Fendrihan today:

Trumper's Almond and Coconut Cream
TOBS Avocado

Inthe words of the Pointer Sisters - "I'm so excited..."

Which to try first? :001_smile

I decided to go for the Trumper coconut this morning.

I loaded a fresh Personna Red Pack into my Red-tip SS, and went to town;

a small dab (truly almond sized) gave a super lather, and the scnt is so nice - NOT suntan lotion at all, and not sweet - just clean, light smell.

Excellent shave, and my face feels pretty darn fine today.

tomorrow is TOBS Avocado, and then Friday will be the Turmper almond cream I also picked up.

To be honest, you need to use just one for a while to understand and appreciate the effect it has on your skin.

Rotating them will do very little for you in terms of appreciation. Unless you find you are allergict to one of them which is not beyond possibility.

All three soaps oil a dry sensitive skin and are known to be "kind" to skin.

English - you make an excellent point.

The next three days are "I HAVE to try this new stuff... shaves", and then I'll settle down and give each of them two week run - see how they pan out.

I think I have a sensitive face - both to strong scents and sloppy technique. I picked these creams becuase of their reputations for being good for the skin.

I had sensitive skin for a period and I found almond oil soap was very gentle and helped with dry skin. At the time you could get a small puck from Crabtree and Evelyn, but I think they have stopped production. It was a great soap and so if they bring it back, it may be one to try

Institute Karite shea butter shaving soap comes highly recommended and you can buy it direct from France from their internet site. It's quite expensive but all good shea butter products are.

I have just tried TOBS avocado again. I had a burning sensation from it last time which put me off, but today I thought what the hell, I'll give it another go.

Glad I did!! I was definitely using too much product previously. Haven't tried trumpers, but this avocado stuff is brilliant. Hope you like it.
