I ended up getting a restored Red Tip. It's his birth year, even the same quarter - 1955 (A4). Pretty cool coincidence!

I'm very tempted to keep it, and order him a Parker 87/99....

Oh, that one is too nice! Keep it and get him something just a tad less flashy, maybe a regular Flare Tip.

Good choice, I think. That might be a razor he remembers seeing someone use in his youth.

It certainly is a handsomely restored razor. Just looking at the pictures it looks brand new. Well, probably better than brand new. You did a great job with the photographs.

I see no way he could fail to appreciate such a beauty.
