@rbscebu What the heck is soluble oil? You mean that oil and water do mix, sometimes?
Soluble oil is well known in (metal) machining. It has the consistency of motor oil and is thinned down by dilution with water, usually at a ratio of about 5 oil to 95 water.

100ml of soluble oil is good enough for about 2 litres of honing fluid. It is difficult to purchase in less than about 5 litre containers so it is better if you have a machinist friend who can give you a millilitres.

Here is an example. It is available from many different manufacturers.

I love Coticules!
Don't think I will ever love coticules as I love diamond pasted balsa. I do now very much appreciated the edges off a coticule for a comfortable shave.

I have learnt that it takes time and patience to learn how to get a coticule to work. From what I have read, coticules are all different and you just have to work out how to get yours to work for you.
