T&H sample mix up

I've sampled all the T&H frags and know what each smells like. I was in the mood one morning for some Freshman, so I grabbed the phial of Freshman, opened it up, poured half the phial in my hand and splashed it on my chest and arms.......SURPRISE......only to find out it wasn't Freshman.......it was Spanish Leather. Smelled nice......but what a shock......they are just nothing alike!!!!!

When I got my T&H samples, among them were 2 vials of 1805 and one of Clubman. I swear I could not tell the difference between Clubman and 1805. They all could have been either 1805 or Clubman for all I know... nice scent though, whatever it was.. but I prefer Grafton and Trafalgar..

(edit, I meant 1805 and Clubman.. I don't really care for Freshman..)

To me, 1805 is the most distinctive of the T&H scents and I prefer it best. It's hard to describe but it stands out among all the T&H scents in my mind. The Clubman and Freshman are both nice but rather similar and not very striking, and the Spanish Leather seems old fashioned and too strong, making it smell a little cheap to me.

Completely agree with this.

Ironically, that's the "modernized" version of it. The older formulation was much closer to Trumper Spanish Leather, which is quite old fashioned, but also a tried and true classic.
