SuperSpeed or Something Else?

Hi Guys,

I've just plated up this beauty, but I'm unsure of the exact model.

It looks identical to a 1940s style SuperSpeed (no date code) REG US but the turning knob unscrews and drops slightly when loosened. It is then pushed upwards to open the silo doors.

Is this just a variation of the SuperSpeed or is it a Milord or something?

Any advice greatly appreciated.

It is a standard Super Speed with a broken retaining band. There is supposed to be a small band in the groove which shows when the TTO knob is opened all the way. This band is supposed to align with a groove in the inner handle to hold it in place. I have heard you can get a piece of wire and wrap it around the groove and carefully work it back into place to get it to work right. I haven't run across one myself so I have never tried ti, though.

Thanks AsylumGuido!

Here's me thinking it was designed like that. I do have an early bulldog which does work like this with a push up mechanism - so I thought this was a similar model.

We live and learn.
