Yes, it seems to be the French week. Today arrived my brandnew Thiers-Issard Aigle, 6/8" round top with lovely horn scales. Seems to be pretty sharp. I will try it tomorrow.

Thanks, gentlemen. The fellow who sold it to me on the bay said he bought it as NOS and barely used it because he was afraid to mess it up. I can't find anything wrong with it...and the price was more than reasonable. Like I said...pinching myself.

Proud of how long I manage to go without buying a razor. Need to slim down the collection but I did pick up this nice one for a pretty penny. Was a razor I have been hunting a while and thought it would be a nice treat for myself after getting licensed recently.

The next one: A Friodur Inox 5/8" round top which has been used for some 15 years and honed by a colleague from a german shaving forum.
It has a pretty sharp edge and a good finisher as well as a nice strope was in the parcel also.

I would call this a "boxes in storage" find. About 6 months ago a little boy, who is 5 months old now" rudely took over my office. Apparently he needed a bedroom of his own...
. Turns out all my SiC powered and repair parts where in that office. So i went looking for SiC power and found these instead. 6/8 full hollow i think made by T.Hessen-Bruch&Co. Forgot i had it. Equally exiting is the kiradashi i made from a 1969 camaro coil spring when i first got into blacksmithing 20 years ago. Looking forward to honing this razor, in 10 minute increments, because turns out 5 month olds are pretty needy. Who knew.
