storing open, tinned, flake tobacco (orlik golden sliced etc)

Hi all, just got some orlik golden sliced and some SG Balkan flake. About to crack them open but what's the best way to store these?

In the tins they came in or in a small glass jar (as I do my loose leaf baccy)?

Any advice much appreciated.

In the tins they came in.
I used to add some potato peel wrapped in tissue to prevent moisture loss, with its attendant flavour reduction..

Although this is usually done after the level has reduced somewhat

In the jars like your other tobacco. The square tins don't reseal once the vacuum seal is broken and things will dry out quickly.

+1. Flake can be stored in mason jars just like loose cut tobacco.

Thanks so much for the advice. Just opened the SG Balkan flake. Omg I can't wait to try it. So smokey and rich. Storage will be in the jar, thanks again all for your advice.
