I have a plastic tube of shaving cream that I have used about half of. I want to switch to a new scent and hold this one until the end of next summer. Is it going to dry in the tube over the year? I though of using a tube sqeezer on it to get out the excess air, but if that is on for 10 months I think the tube plastic could crack.

No worry, mate. Just keep it well sealed and away from any heat.
I always wondered how long creams will last. Some of my tubes say they should be used 12 months from opening, others say 24 months, wonder how true that really is...
