I was in Walgreens yesterday and saw they were having a sale on Antonio Banderas colognes and perfumes. (I've heard this are made by Puig.)
Anyway, they had small bottles of his colognes out on a table display. I took a whiff of the light blue colored men's cologne and I swear it smells almost exactly like T&H 1805! I'm sure there are minor differences, and maybe if I put it on and wore it the differences would be clearer, but out of the bottle it's almost a dead ringer.
There's almost no doubt in my mind that they targeted 1805 and deliberately set out to make a scent that was the same; otherwise to hit every single note would be a colossal coincidence.
I guess the good news is that they are selling these small bottles of this cologne for 10 bucks.
So, if you like 1805 but don't feel like you can afford it, Merry Christmas. Go on down to Walgreens and buy this stuff. It might not be the same, but for that price it'll do.
Anybody familiar with the Antonio Banderas line?
