A very nice shave.

I just made one change today, back to my old love Proraso Red aftershave. It seems to blend nicely with the TFS Mandarino Tachibana soap (so far anyway).

Comments: I dialed up the aggression and found that the head moves the more you dial it up. Terrible razor in the end, last time I use it, it's cumbersome and the movement of the head created a terrible shave. Also experimenting with MWF to see if pre-shave oil makes any difference and it made the shave much worse! MWF hasn't lived up to it's hype and lacked the slickness that I like, used a dense badger brush with more backbone for the lather, played with various thickness/looseness of the lather, marginal.

Blade: Mers ~ Supershave X 'Snapped in 1/2'. (3)

The G F. Trumper Violet shaving cream is a very good shaving cream I really like it's unique scent only a small amount is needed to create a excellent lather for the full shave leaving a superb post shave feel.

A enjoyable 3 pass + pick ups close comfortable / near BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a small dollop of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Excellent lather from the cream. Mild pleasant scent. Creamy and slick too.
Shave with the Slant paired with the blade was very good. So smooth and comfortable for 3passes without any issues for a between bbs to dfs. Enjoyable shave. Excellent post & aftershaves. Rating 9.6/10

The end is near. End of an era which is sad but fitting given 2020 will soon be a memory.

Many years past I purchased a rather large quantity of UK production Gillette Blues. A gluttonous quantity. Pictured are my last 2 blades. Fitting that most items for the shave are also discontinued. Would have run out some years back but sometimes use my Atra razor.

The Floris JF is a recent find, a NOS puck. The Authentic No. 10 aftershave is my favorite, a daily use for at least the past 5 years. Unfortunately T&H wasn't selling enough of this one so they dropped it.

Result: BBS

First use of the new handle and brush. The grip zone could be a bit higher up but the overall weight and balance is nice so no risk of slipping. The brush blooms BIG for 22mm and holds a ton of lather. It’s much more nimble and precise than the 26mm Moka Express. Handle is on the small side but works well. Easily my nicest Yaqi to date.

The Polsilver blade absolutely delivers, super nice and smooth BBS no cuts/weepers/irritations.

The Epsilon Amber has a menthol blast that puts Proraso green to shame and gives a nice tingle and great feeling after dry down.
