This new formula from Proraso is one of the best creams I've used.

Brush: La Maison du Barbier synthetic
Razor: Parker Semi-slant
Blade: Astra SP (#5 and binned)
Soap: Declaration Grooming Nightman
Post: Alum followed by DG Nightman aftershave then a bit of Soap Commander Integrity balm
Good shave, if a bit close on my neck. I attribute that to technique and lack of feedback from the razor. Something to work on, for sure.
First time using DG and, man, does it chug water, but what a great lather!
Speaking of lather, I attribute my incrementally improving lather skills to the fact I was able to get five shaves from the Astra SP.
I had bought Truefitt & Hill Sandalwood Shaving Cream sometime back that was not used yet. I thought of using it today. Also changed my shaving brush to more trusted EJ synthetic as I went on with face lathering today and hence wanted a trusted brush with super soft bristles.
Pre Shave - Hot water splash and Truefitt & Hill No.10 Pre Shave scrub Brush - Edwin Jagger faux Tortoise Shell Handled synthetic shaving brush Shaving Soap - Truefitt & Hill Sandalwood Shaving Cream Razor - Pearl chrome finished TTO Blade - Parker Premium Platinum on 2nd use Post Shave - Running cold water splash along with application of alum After Shave - Axe Ultra Smooth Aftershave Balm
Truefitt & Hill does not need any words or certificates to prove the superior products they make. The Sandalwood Cream was no different, excellent lather with a small amount and great slickness. The smell is kinda spicy with a background hint of Sandalwood. Very soothing smell that is definitely not overpowering. Also the cream does not dry your post shaved skin at all and really makes the skin feel supple.
Used Parker Premium Platinum blades on second use along with the new TTO razor. The combination performed extremely well. I always get amused with these Parker blades as they give me excellent shaves time and again. Excellent mix of sharpness and smoothness.
Did a 3 pass shave today and as the razor glided like dream as it did yesterday. Did not witness any weepers, nicks, cuts or any redness even on post shaved skin. The alum gave very little feedback and closed the pores. Post application of the Axe aftershave the skin feels supple and soft. The barbershop smell of the aftershave really complements well with the new Sandalwood shaving cream of T&H.
The shave was BBS grade smooth and that really makes me happy.
Next shave will be on Friday and already looking forward to that as I will be reverting back to my ever trusted Edwin Jagger DE89 with a GSB loaded in that!

Face lathering with the soap/croap and brush felt very good. Soft brush with just enough scritches. Handle feels so good in hand. Nice creamy and slick lather results.
Razor has been long ignored so paired with a good blade and set at max 6 for 1st wtg, set 5 for xtg and atg. 3+1 passes...all went so well...felt smooth, sharp but safe and comfortable. Made a mistake during last pass by unconsciously pressing abit hard on jawline area and felt the blade bite! 2 weepers result. Icy cold water rinse followed by Thayers then Hyaluronic and Gatsby splash. A very good enjoyable shave except for a momentary lapse.
