1st use of this soap. The scent is consistent off the puck and while lathering. To my nose...more Pumpkinish with blended tobacco...ish. TBH, the scents are almost exactly what is written. The lather is very rich, super creamy, and nicely slick...enjoy this unique scented soap!
Very enjoyable SR session with this razor. Quite smooth and very comfortable in 3+passes for another sas result without issues. The matching aftershave is definitely stronger and lasted a while....nice!

Another experiment that gave me good results. This Gillette blade is still giving me great shaves. I’m sure I can get at least several more from it.
BTW :I got a closer cleaner shave with this soap than I often get with my regular brush soap. Too bad that I forgot the name of it. It was slick as hell!

BBS -AS/BIC. I find the BBS quite mild even with the more aggressive AS plate. Pretty effective but next round I'll be loosening the handle a bit. Clean up with the twin half blade Nodachi. Lots of noise and blade feel but it works.

I haven't used my trusty old DE-89 in ages, so I thought I would pull it out and see how it paired with a KAI blade. I didn't find it much more efficient with the KAI blade, but I did have a very nice and comfortable DFS.

SE SOTD, Friday, Aug 27th 2021

Razor: Valet Auto-strop C1 Canadian variant- MFG 1920's, modified blade gab from 11/1000" to 7/1000 of inch & it made this old interesting razor into a smooth comfortable razor from a prior aggressive razor. I like using it a lot more & is in my rotation for years.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(1) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely & predictable. Best SE blade for cost and shave IMO.
Soap: Ogallala Bayrum with Sandalwood, nice scent with great lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Artic sky 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of Clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: witch hazel + Ogallala Bayrum with Sandalwood + a dollop of Nivea with 2 drops of HA.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Valet auto-strop C1 model + a modified Gem coated blade.
