Catie’s Bubbles LTV today. 20 seconds to load the ER Silvertip. Great, easy, thick, lather. Gillette Platinum still in the Fatboy. Great smooth, close, shave. I finished with CC Frozen Vetiver.

SOTD: Selamat Datang Indonesia (Welcome to Indonesia)!

In honor of my Javanese wife, and to give her a little olfactory sense of her home country, I tried to create an Indonesian themed shave today.
Eucalyptus is used all over Indonesia as a balm, so I went with Taconic Eucalyptus soap; the Mrs. says it smells "like the real thing". We have lots of Indonesian eucalyptus oil around the house, and I agree.
The only blades I could find when I was in Indonesia were Chinese made, so I had to cheat and use an Indian-made Gillette 7 O'Clock Black in my blue tip.
For aftershave I went with Fine Fresh Vetiver. Vetiver grass grows all around Indonesia. The Mrs. says I smell "like a villager, but in a nice way".
And I used my Fine synthetic brush, which is red and white, like the Indonesian flag.
Incidentally, the last time I was in Indonesia, I opened up the Jakarta Post, only to find an interview with Mr. Fine himself!
Post-shave, I enjoyed a cup of Kopi Luwak (yes, that's the infamous civet cat coffee).
