Today's shave was about as good as it gets. The CG Level 2 Gen 2 in copper is an amazing razor. Super close, you so smooth. I have several Level 3's in Gen 1 and 2, and you lose a lot of the smoothness of the early Level 2. The new Gen 3 Level 3 is another story. Super Smooth. But I think this Gen 2 level 2 is a sweet spot for me. The best combo of smoothness and efficiency. And a low profile head that is nimble and can get under the nose, etc. Of course, I shaved super steep. Great shave today!!!

SE SOTD, Fri, March 18th 2022

Razor: Yaqi V2 Excalibur AC 50mm-Mfg 2021> Great SE razor, great clamping of blade, very nimble to work the face, I always get excellent shaves with this razor. Very affordable. I have to adjust the top cap manually a little but very easy IMO. Small head parts.
Blade: Schick proline P30- sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity for a AC 50mm blade 5-7 shaves.
Soap: Razorock Lavender- mid range Lavender scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm purple haze synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like tips, gentle scrub + excellent painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water face & razor rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= :a17:Excellent shave with my Yaqi V2 Excalibur with a Schick AC P30.

After being out of state for three weeks plus, it is nice to get back home and change some equipment. For three weeks I have been using a Red Tip with a Personna Lab blade, the Klar soap, and a Muhle syn brush. Today I am using the same soap for the 200 time, but I am using a Gillette Tech razor with a Kai blade. A nice BBS shave.

Friday 3/18 SOTD- two-passes, plus another on the neck, for a DFS, 9/10, no mishaps or issues:

Razor: Pre-war Tech- a beat up example that still delivers a good shave
Blade: Perm-Sharp (2) - nice- sharp and fairly smooth
Brush: Omega 10108- breaking in continues
Soap/Cream: Moon Warmest Regards- very soft soap, lathers fine, smells nice
Post: cold rinse, then some Moon Warmest Regards ASB

May your next shave be smooth, and may your weekend be grand!

AS: Clubman, Stephan’s bay rum splash, Proraso red balm

Two passes, WTG, ATG. BBS.

Really loving the Slim, I’ve been using it exclusively this month to dial it in. I noticed a huge difference in the quality of the Clubman after it has been in a glass bottle for the last month or so. Hard to describe but it is much more palatable now. The combination of Tabac (tallow) and clubman gives a very smooth powdery post shave feel. It’s nice on the dome. I’ve been enjoying layering different AS products. I use Stephan’s bay rum toner as a whole body splash and I think it dilutes the intensity of the Clubman a little bit. Finished up with Proraso red balm for some moisturizing and to add a touch of that addictive powdery sandalwood scent. No fouls today. 10/10

So this is my first shave of the day post in this forum :)

Creme: Proraso White
Post: Cold Water and Alum

A very nice shave with one of my favourite Razors. I do most of the time just one pass with some pick up on the rougher spots.

- Brush: Semogue Owners Club Mistura
- Razor: Wolfman WR2
- Blade: Personna Lab Blue (3)
- Soap: Stirling Executive Man
- Aftershave: Stirling Executive Man
- Post Shave: Thayers Unscented, Hyaluronic Acid
- Scent: Stirling Executive Man EDT

The Stirling Executive Man is an Aventus dupe, so semi-baller? 🤪 The Semogue Mistura is as good as any $200+ brush, so I’m calling that one a baller brush. Wolfman razors may be the poster child for fancy razors. They live up to the hype though!

- Brush: Simpson Polo 10 Best Somerset
- Razor: Gillette Slim
- Blade: Personna Med Prep (2)
- Soap: Southern Witchcrafts Autumn Ash
- Aftershave: Southern Witchcrafts Autumn Ash

The Polo 10 is about as decadent as it gets. I have no idea what anyone would use a Polo 12 or 14 for as this brush is huge. Painting their house maybe? Shaving a polar bear?
