For this Week’s SOTD Theme Week, we want to see your BALLER shaving gear. Post your Wolfman razors, pre-embargo Ivory Simpson brushes, vintage razor blades, fancy-smancy niche French colognes and unobtainium artisanal soaps! Doesn’t HAVE to be Fancy, but show us your best. If you are happy rockin’ your $6 Lord razor with a cheap no name brush and Williams Mug Soap, that’s cool too!


This Weekly Theme is one I am looking forward to as I love seeing quality shaving gear. I want to see your Black Eagle shaving brushes, titanium razors, Spoiler blades and fancy Sē'bŭm Luxury soaps. Or as @Doc4 said about fancy and expensive brushes in a old post… “diamond-encrusted, rock-from-Mars-handled, wild Matterhorn uber-white super-silvertip brush hand knotted by the Virgin Mary herself”. That was over 13 years ago BTW… and I still want to see one!

I would not consider this soap to be Baller, but it is one of the best performers I have ever used. It may be dethroning my #1 soap. And it smells yummy! The razor and brush, however, fall well into Baller territory for me. They are the best of the best for my personal shave experience. The top dogs in my den. The blade is top tier as well.

Wolfman WR2 1.55, 3/7 Hybrid handle. The closest shave ever
Vintage British London Bridge blade, with some untracked ridiculous number of shaves
Paladin Lemon Drop Polo. My favorite brush ever
B&M Passiflora set. Amazing stuff. And not my first Omnibus either

Razor: Gem Featherweight 1st generation- Mfg 1950-52, 2nd gen 1953-54, excellent tame mid range, very enjoyable shave, built to last. 1 OZ approximately.
Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE(3) Very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap: Razorock XXX - nice fresh scent when dried down with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Cavern lake 24mm tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock XXX with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=

excellent shave with my Gem Feather weight with a coated Gem blade.
