I was pleasantly surprised to see that the Streamline came with it's original case, because when I've bought the whole loot, there wasn't a case. What I've thought to be a 1912 from a Peerless/Bathroom set is (probably) with with a head of that version, but with a Streamline handle. The rest is just two 1912 from different periods of time and an uncommon black handle Featherweight.

I'm definetly going to keep the Streamline set along with the spare handle and the Featherweight, but I'm not sure what to do with the three 1912.

I need to rebend the guard on the 2nd from the right. Thoughts on the best way to do that?

I adjusted the bar on mine but it is very risky. Mine wasn't be t as far as yours appears to be. From what I understand brass work hardens. The more it is bent the harder/more brittle it becomes. So if it is over strained when trying to straighten it there is a high chance of it just snapping. Some jewelers will work on stuff like this. I believe they carefully heat it to the proper temperature then bend it.

six years ago when the dollar was low i've buy a lot in america with stupid high prices but it was almost 2$ for 1€ , theses days i buy mostly in europe ,we have the french graiglist it's name "leboncoin.fr"there is no bid you deal with the people it's where i've buy my 1914 ,the guy said it was he's grandfather razor ,this make sense you know by the times of the WW,american soldiers came with a lot of things (chewing gum, razors, jazz records, blue jeans ....)and gift or trade with the people and theses things became part of our culture .sometimes i buy on the french ebay where you get your cased heljestrand ,kikounette is a nice seller ain't it? she sells me my kindal seven days set and i passed on the cvh set and the nice aristocrat (not interested).there's a lot of flea market here wich we call "vide grenier" but if you want something you better have to go early in the morning and i'm at work,i can't,my mother get me my best straight there a famex for 5$ it was shave ready!!!! he's put my zwillings and other famous razors to shame .
* i think i can manage to go to the kindal shop next week .
Infortunately leboncoin.fr now requieres a cell phone in France.

you can give a fake phone number they never use the phone, they are against the phone , if you give your phone to a seller or customer they are upset and send to both an advertisement message saying to stay on the messagerie, the same if you want to give your email they blank it.what they want is you deal on the board and they pick up a fee.

I did give a fake number, but now they send a text message with a code that you need to enter to validate the phone number.
I went also seeking temporary phone number and I tried hundreds of them. Nothing worked. Google, microsoft and leboncoin set up a system where they can detect that the number is either fake or temporary.

I saw a peroni there and wasn't able to get it and then someone her in this forum put one for sale. I was lucky. But I paid more than on leboncoin.

Dipping my toe into the SE world! Recently picked up 2 Featherweights, a Schick injector, GEM PTFE blades and Chick injector blades. I've had 3 shaves with the"Gen 2" chrome Featherweight, and I'm loving it! Definitely a different feel so I'm taking it real slow and haven't tried the 1st Gen Deluxe or the injector yet, but I have everything I need. Also have a Ever Ready 1912 on the way. Thanks for the incredible information on these forums it's been so helpful!

I have a couple of interesting new arrivals for my SE collection that couldn't be more different. Here is the first.

PXL_20220922_104245964.jpg

I used this 1912 type GEM yesterday, and I must say it was pretty aggressive with a brand new GEM PTFE blade. I'm still working to get the hang of this type. I found this one on a "major" auction site for a reasonable cost and it looked to be in great shape and a complete kit, so I jumped on it. Waits shows this kit as being from 1924, which feels about right. It's not apparent from the photo, but the case is in great shape with everything present and in working order inside and out. No tears in the "leather" hinge or missing snaps. The case is surprisingly small at only 3 1/8 x 2 7/8 x 1 3/4 inches. I'm happy to add it to my collection.

Here is the second in slightly more detail because it is NOS:

According to Waits, this PAL Adjustable stainless steel injector was introduced in 1962 for $1.95 by the American Safety Razor Corp of Staunton, Virgiina. My set is NOS with 10 PAL blades, instructions, the dummy blade in the razor, and the paper tab illustrating where to insert the key. I found the patent covering this razor and showing how it is made (US 3,204,338). That patent issued on November 23, 1964, and the instructions refer to the razor as "patented" without listing a number. So, I infer that mine was made after 1964. I don't know how long ASR made these razors, but I love the design and the concept of adjustability. But, I've yet to shave with it. I'm likely to give it a try on Saturday for the SEptember event.

I hope you find the information helpful. Please share your experiences with this type of razor.

Happy shaves everyone

Thanks for sharing the photos. I have a similar PAL adjustable and it's a great razor. It shaves a bit more aggressively than Schicks of a comparable vintage.

Got my Ever Ready 1912 in the mail on Friday! It was pretty dirty but cleaned up nice. The only corrosion was a nasty black spot on the handle, no doubt where the original owner held it. I did get it out with Nevr-Dull, but I was a little too aggressive and took off some of the plating. Otherwise shiny and looks good on the stand. Looking forward to using it later this week after I'm done trying out the Schick injector! 😄
