My Brand new Gem Featherweight arrived today. This is my first Gem so I found the head quite strange, LOL!!
I'm looking forward to shaving with it tonight!

My first SE shave tonight!
2 pass WTG/XTG resulting in a near BBS shave!
Uneventful, smooth & very close using GEM Personna SS blades.
It's definitely different because of the shape of the head but easy to adapt.
Only thing was a tad of burning sensation after the shave which I would attribute to the thicker
blade. My skin has to get used to it. But my face ended up smooth!
I like it!

Congrats on the SE shave! They’re great!

The Feather Weight is a light razor. That irritation might have been from a little too much pressure if you’re used to using a heavier razor. It could be the blade, but my money is on it being the first run with a new-to-you, light razor.

True!
I didn't think of that. All my other razors are tanks next to the featherweight. I'll try again tomorrow night and use a light touch to see if I get a different result.

I2 Schick Hydro-Magic
It's an early version (I think), no Hydro-Magic branding on the case or razor. Razor cleaned up nice, as did the inside of the case. Looks like something nasty spilled on it. I tried goo gone, PlastX, and Turtle Wax scratch remover with no luck. What do think? Maybe a fine grit wet sandpaper followed by a light rubbing compound? Or not worth the trouble?

Schick L1 "sample" razor w/box arrived in the mail yesterday. It looks to be unused with the dummy blade still installed. It didn't come with blades, but I have some Schick ones on the way. I got this L1 since it's the one I recall seeing on TV commercials growing up in the 60's & 70's. It's my 1st SE razor.
