The guy on the left is my cousin who actually caught the fish in that picture. No kidding. It was then, and may still be, the largest fish caught on rod & reel, but the International Game Fishing ***'n disallowed it because the line was too strong, or something like that.

BTW, it was disallowed (according the Shark Hunter: Chasing the Great White Shark Week episode) because they were fishing near a whale carcass, and the IGFA doesn't allow mammal meat as bait or chum...I think they were being a little personal against him, because it's a major gray area, but, alas...

In honor of Frank, I watched the Shark Week episode Shark Hunter: Chasing the Great White and Jaws again last night

of course, I don't need much to want to watch Jaws, I can be eating a bag of Doritos and go "Ooh, this one looks like a shark fin..."
