Received my Barrister & Mann sampler pack today

First off, I have to give props for how quickly I received it. I ordered late afternoon Wednesday and received it today (Saturday) with a little handwritten note on my invoice. I couldn't ask more from a vendor of any type of product, shaving or otherwise.

This is my first soap/cream that includes lanolin and tallow. My other ones have been Conk bay rum soap and Kiss My Face unscented cream. I think my learning curve for lathering has been pretty light since my water has a hardness of 7ppm. Everything basically explodes with thick cream.

Anyways, I'm really excited to get to try these out. From smelling the baggies, I think my favored scents of the bars is the bay rum and the nocturne (think: pumpkin and apple pie had a baby). They all smell pretty good to me though. It'll have to wait a day or two as I shaved this morning. I will add my experience after I shave next.

I just got my sampler too. Also had it arrived sooner than expected and it seemed to be packed with a lotta love. The smells are all fantastic I shaved right before it showed up though so I'll have to wait till tomorrow.

Okay... I'm caving in, even though I've been trying to use up my few soaps. My Cheshire will last forever, so I'm going with Nocturne. It's time to put away my QCS Iced Key Lime anyways.

I've just discovered B&M in the past month and think it's the best one out there. When you consider price, the fantastic customer service and vendor feedback, an above-and-beyond-the-bog-standard approach to scents, and that fact that it lathers and performs every bit as well as the best soaps available - there will be B&M on my shelf from now on.

Agreed first shave this morning and I found it among the easiest to lather among the soaps I've tried. Very slick and protective. Combine those qualities with the price and customer service and it's hard to beat.

B&M soaps are as good as it gets. They are easier to lather than Mike's, and produce just as thick, slick lather. I prefer their Bay Rum over any others, and I love their new fall scent, Nocturne. On the other hand, I enjoy all of their soaps!

I just got my sampler in the mail yesterday as well. I haven't used any yet, but so far I love the Bay Rum and Cheshire. Seville and Nocturn are nice as well.

B&M provides some of the best Shave soaps you will find anywhere. Great customer service and great soaps! I have all the scents except for Bay Rum and the new Nocturn....might cave...must fight the urge!

You can't go wrong with B&M. Very easy to leather and great performance.

B&M might just spoil you...it's just so flippin' easy to use (and the scents are so much more interesting than most)

I used the bay rum this morning. Lathers easily and creamily, good lubrication, and my face didn't feel as dry as it normally does after shaving.

And the smell is fantastic. It's much stronger than my Conk bay rum.
