What is the best method for repairing/masking cracks in bakelite handles? Any techniques that have worked well for any of you? I'm thinking about attempting a restore on a handle that has some very light surface cracking on the bottom of the handle, but am not sure how to handle them.

I haven't repaired any cracks, but depending on how light they are, maybe a bit of sanding, and some sort of polish afterwards, to fill in anything left over.
