Proraso Green Menthol & Eucalyptus Shaving Soap VS. Willaims mug. LoL!

I have been using Williams mug for a while now and no matter how much i keep building the soap lather and applying it always seems to dry out half way through the shave. I recently bought some Proraso Green Menthol & Eucalyptus Shaving Soap and i have to say the Proraso whips up and builds a beaufiul lather that actually is workable. As for the Williams mug it'll go into the emergency products drawer. I cant believe the difference! The Proraso is the Lamborghini and the Williams is the Fiat. Glad I made the switch. I heard Williams changed their recipe a while ago which might be the reason for being so lame. Thanks All

I hear you, I started with VDH luxury, I now have proraso green and Mike's coconut, and like you, I now see what the hype is all about! what a difference!

Actually, the Proraso is more like an old Chevrolet, not a Lamborghini.

You'll understand why after you get some soap acquisition disorder, and try Mitchell's Woof Fat and Tabac.

And (if you're like me) you'll understand it even better when you get some high-end "premium" soap. I tried some Truefitt and Hill soap today for the first time, and it's better that my previous favorites (MWF and Tabac). Beautiful smooth, creamy lather . . .

There may be an end to this improvement in quality, but I don't know if I've reached it yet. However, I think my budget ran out with the T&H.

The cheapest way to improve a soap might be to add a bit of glycerin to the lather bowl. A small spill works wonders.
