What's new

One shave of the day for the rest of your life

blades - Astra SP
razor - Edwin Jagger DE87
brush - APShaveCo 24 mm SynBad in a "Blue Lagoon" (see what I did there?) handle.
soap - Barrister & Mann Seville
after shave - Reuzel

Sadly, neither Brooke Shields nor Milla Jovovich are included with the brush.
I figure the synthetic brush is more durable than a natural.

Oh yeah - I'll claim a Clubman Jumbo Styptic Pencil as "First Aid supplies".

This is an easy one for me:

Razor: Star Model 100
Blades: Tungsten Personna 74
Brush: Paladin 28mm
Soap: Vintage Ralph Lauren Safari
Aftershave: Hemingway Accoutrements AS

I was trying a sample of Castle Forbes Limes shaving cream today and put a small almond sized dollop in my Timeless lather bowl. Using a Simpson synthetic Chubby 2 an awesome lather was produced and I began to shave with an Edwin Jagger 3one6 with a new Gillette Silver-Blue blade.

Finished up with a spritz of witch hazel followed by EltaMD moisturizer.

Results: Absolutely stellar shave. Just freaking stellar. No chicken dance or special incantations, just proper technique with good equipment and products.

Razor: Maggard Razors MR5 handle with the Maggard Razors V2OC head.
Blades: Gillette 7 O'clock Super Platinum Black.
Brush: Semogue Owners Club in cherry because it would remind me of my daughter (it arrived brand new the day my little girl was born). :001_smile
Cream: Geo F. Trumper Almond shave cream.
Aftershave: Old Spice Original (from India, as I still have it from 2014 and it reminds me of the vintage stuff growing up that my dad used and occasionally still does.)

I would also like my Marvy shaving mug, to be honest. Love that mug!

Monday, 9/30:

Razor - Rockwell 6S (R5 plate)
Blade - Shark Super Chrome (2)
Brush - Wild West Brushworks "Foxborough" 24mm Boss
Bowl - Captain's Choice
Soap - Oaken Lab Earth of Mankind
Aftershave - none

First use of this brush, and it might immediately have become one of my top synthetics. Never used a Boss knot before; it has all the backbone I could want and nice soft tips. The ergonomics are perfect and it creates a phenomenal lather, perfect for bowl lathering.

I get an excellent shave every time I use the Oaken Lab soap. Everything is off the charts: primary and residual glide, scent, and post-shave feel. My face felt so damn good afterwards, I forwent the aftershave, and my face still felt soft and moisturized. Absolutely a top-notch performer; I recommend it without hesitation.
