Agree with your assessments on both the Canadian Pre War and EFT. My Canadian Pre War is more efficient while my EFT is a touch smoother. Both are outstanding.

I'm trying to put a Tech post together that will include ranking my favorite Techs. The English Tech/NEW Hybrid is clearly in the #1 spot. The Canadian Pre-War, German #34, English Flat Bottom, Canadian Post-War, USA Pre-War & Post-War and English #24 follow in roughly that order, but I consider the Canadian Pre-War, German #34 and English Flat Bottom to be very, very close to each other.

I find it hard to imagine the Hybrid is that much better than the EFB, but then again I didn’t think the Goodwill #160 could possibly be better than my RFB #44 and it clearly is. It’s shaves are magical.

My skin is not too sensitive, probably why I lean toward the Canadian Pre-War?

My last shave with the Flat Bottom NEW was quite good. More efficient than the Flat Bottom Tech, but not quite as smooth. A wonderful razor.

To me too many of the Gillettes had handles which were too skinny.

I find that Ti handles add a nice amount of weight and create an excellent balance.

What is your preferred handle diameter, David? Mine is right in the 13-14mm range. And of course I have really begun to like my LHF handles.

#1 preference is in the 14mm diameter x 80mm long range. I can adapt to a longer handle (up to 100mm), but don't like to go under 13mm diameter.

Your LHF handles are most cool.

Went with the superb Martin de Candre Nature for MdC Monday.

Finished my shave again today with Pinaud Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum Aftershave followed by Cuba Orange EdT Spray. My face is happy!
