David, regarding the AC blade format, is there a top of the blade that would face the cap?

I suspect the blades without guards are symmetrical top to bottom.

If the blade has a guard, I have been loading the guard next to the cap.

Shucks, I must have been half asleep when I loaded the KAI Captain Titan Mild Protouch MG. I just pulled one from the Hawk and it does have guards on both sides.

Regarding the Rex Envoy: It seems that I'm liking the Rex Envoy more and more every time I use it. Used with a steep angle, the Envoy is efficient, smooth and highly effective - plus it's reasonably nimble and maneuverable. Could easily be a daily driver. Bottom line: the Envoy has been elevated to the Big Dogs category!

The rest of the kit is also the same as I used yesterday.

The Ti Blackbird is still my Alpha DE razor, but the Envoy keeps rising in my estimation and has broken through to the Big Dogs Category. It is a really good razor and an excellent value.

The Gillette Canada Pre-War Tech is one of my favorite Top Tier Techs and definitely a Big Dog! This combination of razor, blade and handle looks great and shaves even better!

The AP Shave Co. Elegant Emerald with 24mm Synbad knot performs wonderfully - well above its very reasonable price. Great synthetic brush!

The Wolfman WR2 1.25 SB is one of my top DE Big Dogs. Very efficient, very smooth and very effective!

The Frickwerkz handle (PAA 26mm Roswell Grey Hybrid Synthetic knot) is very comfortable in use. The combined brush quickly and easily whips up a wonderful lather. Nice brush!

PannaCrema Nuàvia Blu is an awesome soap. There are very few soaps out there with performance this good.

Epsilon Blue Mediterranean Aftershave followed with Belcam Classic Match Blue EdT Spray is a wonderful combination! Very pleasant and refreshing. My face is quite happy!

Was going to use Fat'as Frankensoap (50/50 MWF & Haslinger Schafmilch) but the tin I used when I originally grated, combined and pressed the two soaps interacted with the water and soap. The whole mess evolved into a semi-intelligent life form and integrated some truly yucky rust/crud looking stuff throughout the soap. Next time, I'll use glass! No sense crying over spilled soap, so into the trash it went and Mitchell's Wool Fat, a classic and outstanding soap, stepped up to the plate. No issues at all getting mounds of wonderfully slick and cushioning lather. MWF is great soap!

Bootlegger's Bay Rum is one of my favorite Bay Rums! My face is very happy! Applied Cuba Orange EdT Spray before going out for the day! Great match for Bootlegger's Bay Rum!
