sorry to disappoint...nothing to report.

i'm actually trying to find a local store with a good selection of shaving products. Wally world, target, sallly, CVS, walgreens.....these places SUCK when it comes to shaving selection. (IMHO). so if any of my fellow Nashville, TN area members know of any great local stores let me know! FYI i live in Smyrna and willing to travel at least 45 minutes (im that serious about my shaving gear)

thanks!!

No good news for ya mate. Nashville seems to be a wasteland. Shaving purgatory. This year alone I have personally kept the US postal service and UPS financially afloat not to mention several of our fine vendors. (although I believe that the shippers are probably making more than the vendors). I would love to find a brick and mortar wet shaving stockist in middle Tennessee but haven't stumbled across one yet. There is an AOS and a Nordstrom's in Green Hills but for most things that I'd be interested in it's either online ordering or antique shop finds. I will tell you that you might check some Cigar / Smoke shops. I did walk past one in the Rivergate/Goodlettsville area one day and it looked like they had some DE Razors on display from the sidewalk window I couldn't tell what they were. Unfortunately for me the smell from out on the street kept me from entering the place to see what they were.

you just reminded me i saw some in a cigar shop in Murfreesboro last year! being a cigar man the smell doesn't bother me much but it sure sticks with you. but i was afraid of this....i think its a shame. looks like i'll just have to open my own.

Uncle's Classic Barbershop in Brentwood, Belle Meade, and (soon to be in) Cool Springs have a decent selection. They carry the full line up of Truefitt & Hill shaving cream, cologne, and aftershave balm. They also carry almost everything from AoS and John Allan's. Every once and a while they'll run 20% off specials as well. I'll be in there wednesday and tell you if they have any deals going on.

dude....dude...awesome! that would be great about those deals. i'm still opening my own tho. they carry some good brands as well. i better take $100 with me! half hr from me too! and they do classic straight razor shaves.
thanks bro!!

They had T&H Rose on sale last time I was in. I would just recommend opening any tubs you're thinking about buying. I've opened a couple that had spoiled in the past. A couple of the girls that know me always laugh when I start going through them and will say, "What did you find this time??". I'll probably pick something up later this week as I think I'm getting "low" on supplies.

good tip with opening them but how would i tell if they spoiled? just a nasty scent?

Not really nasty but just not fresh. And they might look a little soupy instead of light and creamy.

If you do make it to Reds ask for April shes my Barber. Might sound weird for a women to do this but she really is good.
