I have the spreadsheet converted from Google sheets to .xlsx, but B&B won't let me upload it here. Any suggestions? Can it be uploaded to a wiki page? I don't have one but I can email it if needed.

A couple of ways to get it done.

Right click the file, and click "Send to" then select "Compressed (zipped) folder". That will .zip the file, and you can upload it here using the "attach files" button at the bottom left of the reply box.

Looks like I've had about 5 kills per year. Most of that period I was shaving several times per week and killing a soap or cream every couple months. That feels about right. It seems like no matter what I'm using at the time I get in the 40-60 shave range from a soap or cream. My current effort of MdC being a noteworthy exception.

It’s a lot of cataloging, though. Time consuming, I’m sure.

Just checking in to report that I'm on shave 168 with my puck of Crabtree & Evelyn Nomad. Breakthrough occurred at about shave 94, but it's still going strong. I'm impressed with this soap. Too bad it is no longer being made.

I'm surprised by numbers 1 and 2. Cella is way in the lead, and I wouldn't have guessed so many used Palmolive stick.

If you read through the thread from the beginning, you will see how certain soaps trend. Early on, Art of Shave and Dr Harris was king, but doesn't seem to be talked about much anymore. A few years in, Haslinger was the rage. Palmolive sticks and cream were always respectable.
I think brands fall by the wayside due to reformulations and being discontinued.

This is good stuff. Thanks for the analysis. I guess I have done a poor job or reporting my kills. Looking at my records I have 18 soaps 3017'd since 5/31/2014. Currently I am working my way through a brick of Vitos... 1238 shaves in I still have 200g+ left so it will be awhile before I can claim my next kill.

I am seriously impressed with @beginish he must've finished nearly ever soap there is

I've been retired 8 years now and apparently my software skills are getting a bit rusty. Looking at this data a little more closely, I see that I should have cleaned it a bit before doing the analyses. For example (picking on Bob), beginish is listed variously as "beginish", "beginish ", "Beginish", and "Beginish ". The software I am using treats each of these names as a separate user. I'll see if I can clean it up a bit and report back. Sorry about that.
