Waiting on a replacement mainspring for the lock on my CVA .50 cal Hawken, then it's off to the range. The season here is the last week of October, so I should be good.

I'm hopelessly old school when it comes to burning charcoal.
I have more than one. My favorite is a Remington 700ML.
I finally received my mainspring! That gun has never been reliable, sometimes it would fire first try, but sometimes took two or three tries to set off the cap. Not something I could ever take to the woods for fear of ignition failure at the critical moment. I've burned up half a tin of percussion caps with the new spring without one FTF, so I'm thrilled. I bought this gun right befor we had our first born, just over 15 years ago, which is why it's not been a top priority, can't wait to get it out in the woods now!
