Tonight it is MdC/Muhle Monday once again and the Original was lathered with the Kosmo, just a dream team. I decided to try out the R41 with the GSB to see if the combo had any merit. With that slick MdC lather the R41 had no problem mowing down my 24hr stubble to leave me with a BBS once again. Not bad for the ninth shave with a blade.

Moderately Mentholated Micromatic Mühle Monday

Lather: Proraso green bowl-loaded; face-lathered
Aftershave: Ulm Nom
Post-shave: face wash with shave binky and a drop of hyaluronic acid
Post-shave: mentholated Equate moisturizer

It’s been so long since I’ve hovered a Micromatic over my whiskers, but I only got one teeny drop of blood that I had to search for with terlet paper, so definitely much easier than falling off a bike. The aftershave sting said I was overconfident, but so did the minuscule weeper, so that was uncalled for. Did not scrape up my moustache area like I normally do after a Micromatic drought, so yay!

The Mühle did what it normally does: make a great lather with minimal effort without being the star of the show. My smoov brain can only make music-related metaphors and similes when I try to describe this brush’s performance in relation to the rest of the shave. Pity that Mühle doesn’t make them at more affordable prices because more people should enjoy them.

The Proraso green was great. Very slick, slightly chilly. The scent is more complex than mere eucalyptus and menthol though they are Highly present. I think a fragrance free and a fragrance and menthol free version would be very great.

I tried my hand on Uberlather today adding shaving soap, cream and a dash of Glycerin in my scuttle. I can only recommend trying this out, you'll have a delicious looking lather in about 15 seconds. I believe the Uberlather contributed to my BBS shave today.

There's also a newcomer in the lineup with POLA's Galantom II aftershave from Japan. A soothing yet discreet aftershave lotion, which I just recently discovered.

R89 with RR HD Hollow handle

Saturday's shave was around noon, so I didn't need to shave yesterday (Sunday). This meant I had 1.5 days of stubble this morning (Monday).

Razor: Stainless steel R41 head/Mühle tortoiseshell handle

Lather: Shannon's Soaps "Barbershop"
Aftershave: Afta

The R41 has no issues with a day and a half of stubble. I used it with care and was rewarded with a close and comfortable shave

Tonight for Muhle/MdC Monday I decided to once again turn to my beloved Rocca set. I loaded the 7 O'Clock Sharpedge into the Rocca for it's third shave and lathered up. I got the usual excellent lather and shaved away, MdC made for a particularly smooth and close shave with yet another BBS

Tonight MdC/Muhle Monday was upon us again and that was good news for me as the Rocca set got another outing. The MdC was on its 97th outing and the Sharpedge was on it's 10th use. Unfortunately I had to rush the shave a little so I couldn't take as much care shaving my neck as I did yesterday so it was left a little rough, but it was still a most enjoyable shave.

The Rocca is a miracle razor. It just works for me and works well. Depending on how I sort my data, the Rocca lands either on top or in the Top 5 at least. With the R89 and this R94 you would really have sorted travelling (R89) and home shaves (R94).

Tonight for Muhle/MdC Monday I used the same setup as the last couple of weeks. It just feels so classy using the Rocca set so I love to take any chance I get to use it. The MdC provided it's usual excellent lather and the 17th use Sharpedge provided a very good shave though not a BBS.

Tonight it is Muhle/MdC Monday again so I broke out the original and lathered it with the Kosmo. I'm looking forward to next week's 100th shave with the Original, though if you look at how much is gone you'd never believe I'd got that many shaves out of it. Anyway, the Rocca made a decent job of the shave though I ended up with two rough patches low on my neck. Usually they would be higher, or on my jawline so they are probably down to me.
