Lilac Vegetal Vs Taylor #74 Traditonal

Hey chaps. As someone who is shall we say, glad I was not chosen by the veg, I wondered about Taylor's #74? Would someone care to describe its scent? They are both allegedly lilac based but after that I have no real idea of the Taylor scent. Is it more a straight floral or is it a mix of that and powder? Thanks.

Cheers, Todd

I have a sample of the #74 and to me it is a powdery citrius scent im not to shure about the lilac part. I would like to note I am not a expert on scents. I have been meaning to try THE VEG but I havent gotten around to finding a sample.

Wow. Citrus and powder. I thought it was lilac based. May I ask what colour your sample is? If it is green then it is Traditional. If a pale yellow it is probably #74 Victorian Lime. I really like the latter.

I get a hint of industrial effluent from #74 Traditional - there's something in it that makes me feel sick, but I don't know what it is. And it's not even remotely similar to The Veg to my nose.

I really do like the #74 Victorian Lime, though - the AS splash is a big summer favourite.

Thank you M for the clarification.

Oscroft, I always cringe when I see scents described this way. Lilac Vegetal is like this on my skin. It smells like those pink urinal cakes. Albeit a new one! But I get your drift. Agreed about Victorian Lime.
