Keepers

Keepers for me are: (I have 13 modern razors, I want to get to 6 total)

Carbon Ti
Timeless Ti Slim
Blackbird Ti
Vector SS
Nodachi - short dimple handle
Wolfman - later this year

Keepers but hardly ever use: Vintage also want to get to 6.

British Aristocrat Gold 50's
British Aristocrat Rhodium 50's
Fatboy Exectutive
Slim Aristocrat
Gillette Dipolmat
Gillette Redtip

Razors on the way out soon: love them, but can't keep them all

Tatara Masamune
Karve SS D plate
Karve SS C plate
Asylum McMurphy - recent
Timeless Bronze .38

I have several razors accumulated over the years.

These will stay:

Lupo Aluminum
Rockwell 6s
Blackbird SS
BBS-1

At this point, my keepers are:
  • Rockwell 6S
  • Fatip Lo Storto
  • Gillette Slim
  • Gillette Tech (first razor ever purchased)
  • Gillette Single Ring (purely for the history)
While I enjoy owning the other razors that I have, if push came to shove, I could let them go without much of a care. There are other razors that have come and gone, and I don't give them a second thought, which is a good sign that I didn't need to keep them.

Updating my keeper list:
Gold rockwell 6s
Rex ambassador
Brass karve
Stirling stainless
Merkur futur
Henson medium
ATT mixed metal
Blackland blackbird

Fayiz D.

I have a dozen or so razors and my main razors for the foreseeable future will be:

Razorock Game Changer with SB and OC .68 plates
Rockwell R6 with plate 6
Carve with plate C/D
Like Grandpa with plate D (OC)
1956 Red Tip
4 months later and not much has changed for me except the addition of a SE and a deletion of a Karve as the Like Grandpa is a Karve, and I don’t need 2. Will sell the Karve soon along with a few plates soon.

Razorock Game Changer with SB and Jaws OC .68 and .84 plates
Rockwell R6 with plate 6
Like Grandpa/Karve with plate D (OC) and F (SB)
1956 Red Tip
Razorock Hawk 3 SE

Jury is still out on my new Wolfman. Great razor, but spendy. It will have to earn a spot in the rotation as it was 3-4x more expensive than my other razors.

My keepers are the only ones I've kept: Gen 1 Tradere OC, Tradere SB, first run Weber DLC (with both the original handle and the bulldog handle).

The Weber doesn't even remotely compare to the Traderes, but I keep it for travel. If I lose a bag with my Weber in it.. bummer, but I'll live. If I lose a bag with a Tradere in it... imma cry, then consider my odds of going full Liam Neeson in Taken to try and track it down.

13 years and 80+ razors later, my keepers are:

- ATT Windsor H w/atlas handle
- Yates Precision H
- Rockwell 6S
- Karve Brass D
- Merkur Progress
- Fatip (grande OC, grande Gentile, picollo SE)

Huh, given the number of razors here first impulse is all .. but DE cuts it down by half or more, so I'd keep a Fatboy, a New Improved Bostonian, Cooncat Bob's Bull Mastiff, and a Wolfman WR2.

I have an Above the Tie Windsor with a regular plate in copper and in stainless and a mild copper plate. Since I shave every day, I believe I shall keep it. The mild copper plate is my regular selection, but the other two are just dandy, although having just bought a hundred Gillette Silvers Blues I doubt I'll vary the plate choice for a long time. That combination is pretty sweet.

Not necessarily in order:
Karve Overlander in SS
Karve CB in SS
Prewar fat handle tech
Shick krona
Gillette slim
Gillette slim twist
Fatip grande
