What's new

I've cracked MWF both ways

I acquired some MWF 4 weeks ago after reading wild reviews on B&B, but like many, have struggled to get lather anything close to my favoured Italian soaps. Until this morning that is. I have been using an EJ medium silvertip but yesterday bought a Simpson Colonel X2L. What a difference a brush makes. This morning I was able to achieve plentiful, good quality lather, with more than enough for 3 passes and a touch up. And a great shave was to follow. My only concern is that my soap has crazed all over the surface. Is this normal as it's never happened to any of my other soaps? Maybe I'm hooked on MWF too now.

I'm not a puck soaker and I don't have a cracking issue with MWF. I don't have problems lathering it either because I use a wet (not dripping, but not wrung out either) brush when I'm loading up the brush with soap.

I soak my puck and it gets cracks all the time. There doesn't seem to be any affect on the performance. I get some of the slickest lather from this stuff, though.
