Is this a Parker Razor ?

I found this link to a site selling razors. I believe that the razors are Parker razors but I am not certain.

I thought that the prices were pretty good.

I was considering the Black 96R to add to my (growing) collection of 8 razors.

the razor sells for $15 and shipping was $5.45 for one razor.

The also had some 3-piece razor/brush/stands for $20 that looked like a deal. The razor was for a cartridge razor though.

Any thoughts ? And does anyone have a coupon code for bathandbodynet ?

I've bought from this company before. They used to sell the old Muehle R89. It looks like they are trying to get rid of their DE stock all together and just sell those fancy handles for cartridge razors and brushes.

I used to have a 96R. It was my first DE. It is an okay razor but not my favorite. I PIF'd it to a friend.

So far, I'd say that it's a good beginner's razor. It works well with Gillette blades but it doesn't seem to favour a Feather. Time will tell if I still like it in the long-term, but I'll keep it as a travel razor if I don't have it in my rotation.

I must say that I do prefer my Parker 98R, but it's quite aggressive compared to the 96R.

I only have experience with the 96R, but I have heard good things about the 22R.

The 96R is a nice TTO razor, but I would make sure that the vendor is good about taking returns or giving guarantee replacements as Parkers sometimes have problems with blade alignment, although I understand that their 2010 range is much better. I do sometimes have to manually intervene when I tighten my Parkers to ensure that the alignment is perfect, but once they are screwed down everything is absolutely fine.

The 60R looks very nice. I would have to recommend the 98R above anything, but it's not on the list.
