Ingram Lather

Outstanding cream for the money....My absolute favorite mentholated cream with a tremendous menthol dose, super slick, rich, lather. Better than Proraso IMO.

IMO Ingram is an average to above average cream. It has a great scent for those warm summer morning shaves, easy to build lots of lather, but is a little weak in slickness and cushion. It is also lacking in leaving my skin moisturized which is OK for summer, but I don't use Ingram in the winter.

Another supersize is that I actually shake the tube to mix the contents. I find that the contents separate over time and once in a while you get a very runny liquid instead of a well mixed cream like proraso.

Your right about the seperating out of Ingrmas, Proraso did the same for me though. AT the Ingrams price point here in Blighty, it beats Proraso hands down. I've used it for years and always found a decent and super cool shave has been had. With my Kent H8 the lather is super cushiony and slick enough to use with a Cobra. Saying that I am a shower shaver and that helps. remember YMMV.

I tried some Ingram cream for the first time tonight, at £1.75 from the local Superdrug it was worth a punt. I used some Proraso pre-shave cream along with it and, holy crap, talk about a face-numbing menthol kick :scared: Half an hour after the shave and my face is still tingling. The cream itself was reasonably good though I would have liked the lather a bit slicker. ALso, it did need a lot of cream on the brush to get enough lather for 4 passes. I wasn't totally convinced by the scent of the cream either.

There's obviously something on the Ingram cream that my face doesn't like. When I went to bed last night about an hour and a half after shaving my face was still nipping, and when I woke up this morning it was and still is bright red! The Ingram was the only product in last night's shave I hadn't used befoe so I'm fairly certain that's the culprit. It is getting binned.
