Welcome to B&B. Greetings from Canada.Wet-shaving newb here.
I’m forty-one and I’ve been buzzing my head since high school. I’ve worked in metal fabrication since eighteen, with various weekend stints at antique galleries and gun stores.
About a year ago the wife bought me some VikingRevolution sandalwood shaving cream and aftershave balm. I ordered an adjustable VikingRevolution safety razor and brush to go with them but to be honest it was kind of fussy, slicey, and inconsistent. I recently ordered some Proraso soaps and balms, and after lurking here on B&B a bit, was inspired to upgrade razors.
I ordered a Muhle Vivo safety razor in brown horn resin, together with their black fibre brush and white porcelain shaving dish. Night-and-day difference! Shaves have been super enjoyable and consistent these last few weeks. So I guess I wanted to say thanks for the B&B guidance in inspiring me and helping me to upgrade my process. Happy shaving!

Hey thanks!Welcome to the forum !!
Thank you! I’ve sure enjoyed reading reviews these last few weeks, and it seems like there are enough food and culture threads to keep me coming back after I’ve got my shaving sorted. So far I’m using Proraso and Muhle soaps, croaps, cremes, and balms, with some Cella and TOBS on the way. Currently on the last of my Givenchy Play from years ago so I’ve been browsing replacements for that.Welcome to B & B, enjoy!
