Was up in Wash DC this week and while there dropped into the Grooming Lounge on L street and picked up a puck of the GFT Limes soap. Tried it out for this first time this AM. While all of my other soaps are tallow-based, I gotta admit this was nice. A very thick lather close to Tabac. And the smell of limes is great.

Great soap. I'm hoping to get a puck for my birthday, which is tomorrow. I put it on my very short wish list.

I shaved with it for the first time this morning. I have no complaints with teh functionality of the soap, but I'm not wild about the smell. It's a little too bright for me. At least it doesn't linger. I did find that it was easier to lather than Trumper's sandalwood, although I prefer the smell of that one.
Dude, it's a LIME soap. Of course it has a bright smell.

My experience with this soap hasn't been very good. I get thin and airy lather whereas all my other soaps are very rich. Even when the lather is thick, the shave is ok at best. I may have gotten one that was from the early, lower quality batch of reformulated soaps or I may just not know how to use it right.
I have currently have GFT rose and lime soaps.

I bought an Omega boar brush last week, and used it to lather up some Trumper's Rose SS. The boar seemed to produce a better lather than my badger brush, and I had the best shave yet with the Rose soap.
Maybe you might try a different brush with the trumper's soaps??

I find that Trumper's soaps are a little finicky. I have to recharge my brush, but I've got incredibly hard water. I am not a huge fan of the scents of either the rose or the lime, but they make the best Sandalwood I've ever come across. If you can get the lather right all three (that I've tried) provide excellent shaves. By the way, anyone interested in a once used puck of limes, and a brand new puck of rose, both in bowls, let me know.
Well, for my birthday my wife got me the Lime CREAM, rather than the SOAP.
It's all good, though; I'm getting great lather and great shaves from the cream.
