TOBS Grapefruit. Wow!

I just acquired my first ever tub of TOBS the other day. When perusing their lineup of creams, Grapefruit caught my eye. I'm really impressed with the quality of this stuff, and even more impressed that it's vegan based. The way it performs I thought for sure it was a tallow based prodcut. Super slick and smooth shave with this stuff and am surprised at how much lather you can whip up with an almond sized amount. I just wish they had a companion aftershave of some kind to go with it.

For years, until rediscovering this forum, I was content with Colonel Conk, and if that wasn't available at my local store, a can of goo would do (sacrilidgeous, I know). I'm discovering so many wonderful products that I didn't know existed in the wetshave world thanks to all of you enablers. I thought I was content with my Cella red and thought to myself "these guys are nuts with all the soaps, croaps, creams they buy. Who needs more than one at a time?" I now find myself with Cella red croap, Proraso Blue cream, Rex 1977, and now TOBS grapefruit. Sitting in my shopping cart from one of my favorite vendors I have TOBS Tobacco Leaf and Lime Zest, and Geo F. Trumper Rose. I never thought I would look forward to shaving. I've gone from shaving a few times a week to shaving every day just so I can play with my soaps, razors, and brushes lol!

My step-son gifted me with TOBS Lavender and then later with TOBS Grapefruit. Both perform excellently. I have a soft spot for Lavender and this one is one of my favorites. Grapefruit at first didn't excite me, but after a few uses I grew to enjoy its very clean scent.

Here is a nice lightly scented grapefruit talcum powder, that might complement the TOBS.

Thanks for sharing. I have a number of TOBS creams and enjoy all of them. My favorites are likely Jermyn Street, Peppermint, and Lavender. I haven't really thought about trying Grapefruit, but based on past experience, I'm sure I would love it.

I find that the citrus scents are more appealing in the warmer months.

Haven’t tried the grapefruit but I really like the royal forest and tobacco leaf. Wasn’t a fan of the sandalwood (too synthetic smelling)

I've been using the Grapefruit cream for the past several days. It has a very nice grapefruit scent right out of the tub and upon initial lathering. I did notice that on the additional applications for the other passes, it was easier to identify some of the fragrance components of it, such as jasmine, rose, and lemon, but as a whole, it is still grapefruit. It is very pleasing overall and easy to face lather.
