G.M. Palmér odd Swedish razor

Hello, just got this very strange vintage (I assume) razor when buying a package deal on the Swedish equivalent of Ebay.
The package had a bunch of old C.V. heljestrand straights that I will attempt to restore decently and a gold fatboy adjustable but that's not what this thread is about.
Besides these items it had a stainless razor with the stamping G.M. PALMÉ(R) the r is hardly visible, all you can see is a faint P but I assume it's supposed to be a R.
The razor uses the side lock mechanism of a Merkur futur except with a hinge.
Once it's open you can see a little spring that operates a small metal tab that locks the blade in place and some strange stuff that stays inside the handle.
I will post some pictures because now it get's strange.
Here is inside the head:

Here is what's inside the handle, what purpose could this part possibly have?

When you pull it out the blade shakes from side to side because the head is attatched to a pin that goes trough the snake thing, same thing when pushed back in again.

Here you can also see the slit where the pin goes in that controls everything that bends the blade against the thead:

So to the point, what does this snake thing do, have you ever seen this razor before and how do I shave with this thing?
Obviously I can shave with it by just doing it, but how do I use all these odd functions and stuff?

It looks like it's simply part of the mechanism that makes the blade vibrate, similar to what the modern Gillette Fusion Powers have. The idea is that the vibrating blade makes it easier to cut the beard.

I would just shave with it normally, but since you have the razor in front of you, use your judgement...

The snake shake part can't be used while the blade is locked in place, the closest thing I can guess atm is for stropping/honing blades, the angle on the head seems to be ok and when you pull the snake out the blade slides across it.

The tightening screw automatically centers the blade by pressing on the moving part of the head with a V shaped piece of metal, a lovely feature after shaving with tech-style razors with a little play in the blade.
Everything about the razor and also it being made out of stainless steel just screams quality, odd that I have never seen one before.

Yeah, it strops the blades.

There used to be a guy online that passed away, he had a website full of odd and obscure razors with descriptions. I think it was country joes's and he had all sorts of antiques.

I seem to remember seeing that one as a self sharpening razor. Maybe I saw it somewhere else. Maybe country joe is still around. Maybe this post is a figment of my imagination?
