From Bad Restore to Good Restore

The restore project I planned on was to use an old black & white Made Rite #8 which after cleaning revealed six small cracks in the fluted areas of the handle as well as a deep crack near the base. I opted to cut the lower portion of the handle and save the upper portion fitting it to an interesting piece of Logwood Eye Burl which along with the TGN 3 band knot both of which were generously provided by Eborraga (Ernie). There are a few before and after photos. The knot has a lot of backbone with very soft tips. I seems like it may take several shaves before it fully blooms.
