Fat Boy V. Vikings Blade Emperor Meiji

For those who have had the opportunity to shave with both of the razors listed above, how would you compare the aggression, feel, and quality of shave?

I have the Meiji and used it this morning. It is heavy and appears to be a solid razor. I would love to hear comparisons, as it would help decide which razor will be the next acquisition.

I have both and even though the Vikings is very similar and I like it a lot, the Fatboy is superior.

I have 2. Fanboys 60 odd years and they will be around. At least that many more American Quality!!!!!

I have both.
They pretty much tried to copy the original and didn't quite get there. Rather buy a Fatboy.

I have both and both are 3 pass BBS shavers, but I have gotten 2 pass BBS shaves with them on occasion. I’d put an edge to the 195 for smoothness. Also in build quality, the 195 has an edge being all brass. The VB has a zamack baseplate but as long as you don’t drop it or abuse the finish, it should last decades as you don’t have to worry about threads. The VB definitely has a lot more weight but that never bothered me.
