I just snagged this little gem and instead of Posting in the acquisitions thread, i thought i'd post here to get some feedback and comments.

I've also have the 133 which is a VERY full hollow blade with exceptional steal. Im looking forward to this one and of course will post back as soon as it arrives.

If the stuff on or near the edge is benign, you did great. If it is toxic, it may be a problem. It all will depend on the level of metal corrosion by/near the edge. eBay is often a gamble- if more work out then don't you win, if it goes the other way, you lose

From the photos it looks like you might be okay with this one. But, you cannot really tell until you have it in hand.

The 132 is a great shaver. Like said before if it turns out the staining is nothing that hurts the edge you did great.

I love my 132 but my scales are not as nice as those which I think makes the razor that much more of a collectors item.

I can't wait to see it cleaned up!

Thanks guys, my elbow grease doesn't go very far with straights, but it does seem that a bit o' maas will do a darn good job.

I hope im not being naive in thinking that this will be a breeze to hone up, however it doesn't look to me like rust that would have caused pitting, in which case this little sucker should take a nice edge even if the spots don't come out.

I always like it when i see them pop up on the board as well. Keeping it in the family of sorts.

Of course, im happy to ship it your way, shoot me your address and after i hone it up you can have it for a while.

That should clean up nicely. I paid more for a much worse looking one. I am hoping I can bring it back from the dead.

I cleaned up and honed a full hollow for Texbilly, and the test shave was really nice. I'm curious how these wedges compare to the full hollow.

Here she is after a little bit of polish and a new hone job:

There were a few little chips in the existing scratched bevel, it took quite a bit of work on the DMT 1.2k to re-establish something that looked workable.

after progressing with a couple of Naniwa's, this razor took an Outstanding edge!

And now she's off to B&B member Xezmer for a few shaves!

My 132 scales (from the OP) look like they're nicer than they actually are. the plastic is cheap and there is no wedge at the end of the scales. The scales on the 133 don't look the part, have the same design, but are much more sturdy.

Yeah, the print on your new scales are still painted, it seems. Mine show their age... the print is more darkened.

Luc, I picked this particular bottle from Henry. The maker is Le Labo it's a great frag that smells like serious gun smoke!
