DIRTY BIRD scuttle owners...1.0 and 1.5

Hope all is well with U and your families....after watching that awesome lathering video by our fellow B&B brother (Brucered)... I have an interest in shaving scuttles. I just use a regular shaving mug but that video made me do some research on scuttles.

After my scuttle research today... I love the DIRTYBIRD scuttles. However... I'm torn between the 1.0 and 1.5 scuttle. I was just wondering if I can get your opinions and pics of your DB scuttles. Also... on a bonus note...if someone has both the 1.0 and 1.5 scuttle...please post a pic of both scuttles (side by side) so I can have a good visual.

I'm a very happy 1.5 owner. I did own a 1.0 for a while but I found it a tad bit too small.

I like a bit of room when I build lather. Here is my 1.5 in action.

DB1.5 with Webbed Ridges

I have the 1.5 and it is great for bowl lathering. Surprisingly, I have the small traveling scuttle and it is wonderful for face lathering. Keeps the brush nice and toasty. Sadly, I pulled an AS off the shelf, it fell and landed square in the middle of the small scuttle and popped the inner bowl into the outer bowl. I glued it back together with CA and it is almost invisible but I'm still not over the trauma. ;-{

The 1.5 is about the size of a medium tea pot so make sure you have the room for it.

may not own a DB but I own 2 other scuttles 1 big 1 small, while the smaller 1 is better built the larger one makes the best lather and I find myself using that one the most.

My 1.0 scuttle is now just a pretty and pricey container for shave sticks and an alum block, as I have turned into a cold water face latherer, even in cold weather.

I have the 1.5 w/ webbed ridges and love it. You can't go wrong with either one IMHO; they're lather machines. Be careful or you'll fill up your bathroom with lather before you know it.

It's on my to-do list, but I haven't read a bad word about the G20. To my eye, it's the best looking scuttle out there, YMMV.

I have both, but since getting the 1.5 I've not used the 1.0 at all.

I use my 1.0 as a brush scuttle since acquiring the Chubby 2 in Best.

i haven't seen anything about it, good or bad. i've seen a few people talk about it, but not any reviews, but i may just be missing them.

I don't own both nor have I tried the 1.5 but I own and love my DB 1.0 perfect size IMHO. I have a 24mm brush and don't find the scuttle to be to small at all. I think either choice is a good one. You really can't go wrong with a DB scuttle.
