When I arrived here, I was heartened to see a fountain pen section on B&B. I've been using fountain pens on and off for about 30 years, and I've been shaving with a DE razor and soap for over 40 (since there was anything to shave...), so I'm not a "Johnny-come-lately" to either. I find it interesting that the key to success in using either a fountain pen or a double edge razor is to apply no pressure and let the implement do the work. I also find it interesting that technological "advances" like cheap ballpoints and 5-blade cartridge razors teach modern-day consumers the opposite lesson - more pressure is better performance. Come to think of it, isn't that the mantra of modern society?
